A glance into my life as a missionary!

Hola a todos!! I am a full time missionary in Mendoza, Argentina with Youth with a Mission.

I LOVE ADVENTURE! I also love teaching through Adventure. God has allowed me to serve Him in Argentina through Adventure learning in many ways. In 2010 God put a strong burden in my heart for non christian young people, so strong I started to cry one day and could not stop!! I decided to make a ropes adventure challenge course at our base in Mendoza to reach out to those youth and train Christians in leadership and team building!

The blogs are my way of bringing you along with me in the daily adventures of living overseas and facing the challenges of reaching young people through ropes course and more!!

Isabel and her rose

Last Sunday was Mother's Day here in Argentina. Most mother's are given flowers or candy and showered with love, after all she is the most important person in the house for every latin male under 30! I made some chocolate cookies and gave them to special moms in my life. In the afternoon I headed off to church like every Sunday and arrived early so I got the best parking spot, right at the door of the church. As I pulled out my makeup bag I noticed there was a lady sitting outside the steps of the church with a flower in her hand. I noticed she was crying and trying to hide it, but not doing a good job especially on the front steps of a large church. I got out of the car and approached her carefully, asking if she was ok. She then opened up to me about her daughter's problems with drugs and such, all this with a flower in her hand. It was obvious someone appreciated all she did for her family. I told her God had created her to know Him and know she was loved, and that He sacrificed everything for our sins. She began to listen when I spoke of the hope that is found in Christ, and that she was beautiful like the flower in her hands. We prayed together outside the church and she received Jesus. I know that God had planned for Isabel to sit outside the church to cry and find someone to listen to her. May we always be the right place at the right time to be there for those beautiful people like Isabel.
